Recent bllod test says that his Jaundice level has dropped slightly. Doctor said that it a good sign as it not increasing passing the crucial point. The peak of his Jaundice will be 10 - 14 days after his birth. All we need to do is to control his Jaundice level during the peak season and we will be fine for the rest of his life.

Baby Ethan, you must be strong and healthy. Papa Mama and everyone in the family will standby you no matter how hard life is. We know that it is really uncomfortable to sleep on the Phototherapy machine, but then, you have to bear with it. Its only a few days more.

G6PD Deficiency

Baby Ethan is diagnose with Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency

Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency is an X-linked recessive hereditary disease characterised by abnormally low levels of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (abbreviated G6PD or G6PDH), a metabolic enzyme involved in the pentose phosphate pathway, especially important in red blood cell metabolism. Individuals with the disease may exhibit nonimmune hemolytic anemia in response to a number of causes, most commonly infection or exposure to certain medications or chemicals. G6PD deficiency is closely linked to favism, a disorder characterized by a hemolytic reaction to consumption of broad beans, with a name derived from the Italian name of the broad bean (fava). The name favism is sometimes used to refer to the enzyme deficiency as a whole, although this is misleading as not all people with G6PD deficiency will manifest a physically observable reaction to consumption of broad beans. G6PD deficiency is the most common human enzyme defect.

Becaue of this, it affected him and his Jaundice level shoot up. Doctor advice us to let him do some Photothearpy to bring the level down.

Not bad eh, he is going for indoor sun tanning !

Being Parents

Oh my god .... it is not an easy job being a father.

I really apperciate what my parents had done for me.

Hasn't beem sleeping properly in the night when he cries every 3 hours. Woke up and fed him.

I dunno why i am so happy to wake up to feed him. Usually when people wakes me up in the middle of my sleep, my mood will really be horrible.

 

It is really an enjoyable moment seeing him being fed. The moment he finishes his meal, back to sleep again So sweet the way he sleep so peaceful. This world is a very stressful world. If one could sleep like a baby in the night ....

I had done something which i never would dream of ,clearning the poo, bathing him and dressing him up .... 

I tell you, bating him is really hard work !!!!! Seems like he doesn't like the water.

Nontheless, we both will work hard to give him a good enviroment to grow up in. Just love hm so much .... My Son Ethan...

What is the difference ????

Yesterday, we YET again went to have a look at another Home and Decor exbition at expo and we FINALY came to realise that since the very first day we attend such convention.

It has always been the SAME !!!!

SAME promotion,
SAME product,
SAME cost,
SAME concept
SAME sales tactics ...
The ONLY difference is the location of the HALL !

Its like wasting our time again again.

And it took us ONE year to find that out.  (-.-)"
They are just seems to be there permanently !!!!

On the way ...... !!!!

Things had been moving on smoothly. The renovation of our house is in full swing and by the next week we should have the toilets up and running. I really pity those workers working my my house where there is no toilet for them to use.

All the tilting works had been done up and there is nothing to photograph at the moment as the floor is all being covered up with protective sheets so as to prevent the damage of the newly lay tiles.

Wood work should be ready to start when the light boxes are up by 8th November.

Renovation cost are running over excess as the work progresses when we unearth different situation which need extra work where in the first place we did not notice or that the structure of the house is unable to adapt our design. On paper everything is very well drawn up and put into place with the drawings. But when its comes to pratical, its never the case.

We just happened to found out that out unit does not have the connection to Singapore Public Gas company, City Gas. Damnit, we have to alter all the piping work as we no longer have a gas water heater. Electric heater replacing it will have to be placed somwhere else. We also have a problem with the bulky heavy lighly flammable and combustable LPG gas cylinder. Now we have to crack open our head just to come up with a design or a place to put the cylinder.

Hopefully this will get smoother when the days goes by ........ Will update soon with pucture of the reno progress !

ITS RUNNING LATE !!!!!!!!!

Our son is now 37 weeks old and weighing 3kg ....

And i think he still does not have any intention of checking out !!!!!

The new tiles had call came in
Electrical work is almost done

The next will be the hacking down of the walls !!!!!

The date has finally arrived !!!!!!!!!! After 4 months of patience waiting, we finally gotten the keys to our NEW HOME !!!!! A place we call it OUR HOME. A property we call it our house.
This unit is now officially belongs to Eric and Ocatvia and little Ethan !!!!

These few months and weeks, have been very busy with alot of stuff...

Our home...
looking around for contractors, suppliers and designers.
We finally realize how often we visited Ikea for ideas...
man they actually limit the number of free drink you get to drink in 2 years !
Furniture,
Lay out,
Lighting,
home appliances
Sanitary...
the list goes on an on and on

On top of that,
we are shopping for our little baby boy stuff...
Pram - man those we saw are really expensive @@
But then, anything for him ... its all worth it !!!!!
Clothing,
baby stuff
the list as well goes on and on...

This 2 are the current primary goals...

Living the childhood life ~~

Kite flying !!!!! yeah ... every one should have done this in their childhood times.
Its like a norm in the growing up phrase of a child.

Never fly a kite before, then you must have a pretty sad and boring childhood

Nether less, we relive or childhood time again by going kite flying.
Also in the meantime, brush up our skills on flying the kite so that we will not look like a complete noob when we bring our son to fly kite.
